Last year, 15 of us were preparing for the challenge of Cotopaxi. This year 25 of us are taking on the challenge of Pico de Orizaba.
Team Diablos Locos starts the journey on December 28th and will summit on January 2nd.
Team Mexidream starts the journey on January 2nd and will summit on January 7th.
First we head to Puebla, Mexico (via Mexico City). While in town we'll work on acclimating to the altitude by running around. We'll also hike La Malinche in preparation for our big climb. Servimont is guiding us up the beast.
This BOLD Fellow is getting a bit anxious about the trip, but it's all coming together. Team shirts and rented gear are in our possession, group training is complete and people are working hard over break, the field guide is being compiled and we are all getting pumped up!
We'll share posting responsibilities as a team, but we'll make sure to keep the topics interesting, the anticipation high and the references to people on the trip clear so that there are no Kristin/Kirsten mix-ups!
